Oversize Carpets
Carpets of 24 feet/7 metres and over are referred to as oversized or ‘Palace-sized’. They were woven for grander spaces than those that we tend to live in today and many have been reduced in size over the years, adding to the scarcity and rarity of those that have survived. Historically, only the most advanced of weaving ateliers had large enough looms to produce such grand carpets.
